Follow these steps to successfully download and install Trezor Suite
Visit the official Trezor website and navigate to the Trezor Suite Download® page. Select your operating system and download the appropriate installer package.
Security Tip: Always verify the download source to avoid malicious software. Check the digital signature when available.
Locate the downloaded file and run the installer. On Windows, this is typically a .exe file; on macOS, a .dmg file; and on Linux, an .AppImage file.
Note: You may need to grant installation permissions depending on your system security settings.
The installer will guide you through the setup process. Choose your installation location and agree to the terms of service. The installation typically takes 1-3 minutes.
Recommendation: Install to the default location unless you have specific requirements.
After installation completes, launch Trezor Suite from your applications menu or desktop shortcut. The application will perform initial setup and synchronization.
First Run: The application may download additional components and verify integrity on first launch.
Connect your Trezor hardware wallet using the provided USB cable. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device or access your existing wallet.
Security: Always verify the device authenticity and never enter your seed phrase on the computer.
Run the .exe file and follow the setup wizard. Windows Defender may prompt for confirmation - this is normal for new applications.
Open the .dmg file and drag Trezor Suite to your Applications folder. You may need to allow the application in Security & Privacy settings.
Make the .AppImage file executable (chmod +x) and run it. Some distributions may require additional libraries for optimal functionality.
